Group Fitness

Columbus Sports Connection offers a wide variety of group fitness and Spinning® classes led by nationally certified and energetic instructors. Classes are designed to be fun and allow modifications for beginners as well as challenging for those looking for a more hard-core workout.

Class Descriptions
HodgePodge - This is an hour long class that will change format and instructor weekly. Each week we will offer a different format so members may try all of the classes we offer at Columbus Sports Connection. Classes will be posted each month.

Flex-a-Ball - A mixture of pilates and yoga-like movements using an exercise ball to increase flexibility, stability, coordination and overall strength. Class is 1 hour.

Interval Cardio - A 1-hour aerobic class that incorporates weight training. The emphasis of this class is to incorporate weight training into high and low aerobic moves to burn fat and calories. Great for all levels.

Tone & Sculpt and Cardio & Strength Training - An interval class designed to increase strength and endurance by using a fitness circuit with BOSU, body bars, weights, steps, jump ropes and tubes. Class is 1 hour. Great for all levels.

Bootcamp - An aerobic class designed to give a great workout for the entire body. Instructors use a variety of equipment to put together a cardio and strength challenge. Class is 1 hour.

Yoga - This hour long class will take you through poses that strengthen and lengthen muscles as well as aligning the posture, improving balance & relieving stress. Great for all levels.

Pilates - Improve strength and balance while lengthening and improving flexibility with this series of mat exercises based on the works of Joseph H. Pilates. Great for all levels.

Spinning®- An indoor cycling class that utilizes a revolutionary stationary bike to take participants through a detailed set of general exercises designed to simulate a real outdoor biking experience. Great for all levels not just bikers. Classes are typically 50 minutes unless extended which is 70 minutes.

Spin/Yoga - ˝ hour spinning® and ˝ hour yoga. We use the heat of spinning® to open up and then do yoga poses to develop strength, stamina and flexibility in the body. Great for all levels.

Pi-Yo - A blend of pilates and yoga all in one hour long class. A unique mat class great for all levels
